Two people were injured in a crash Tuesday in Kendall County, Kendall County Sheriff’s Department deputies said.

Deputies responded to a crash around 9:35 p.m. near Route 126 and Hopkins Road near Yorkville. Two people were reported injured following the two-vehicle collision.

Deputies said that a vehicle driven by Mark Beimal, 44 of Romeoville, entered oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by Tracie Steed, 45, of Montgomery, head-on.

Both Beimal and Steed were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Beimal was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no insurance.
