Fire officials said the home under construction received heavy damage, but the fire did not spread to the nearby stable or riding area.
There were no injuries reported to personnel, tenants or boarded animals at the farm.
Fire crews from Plainfield, Bristol-Kendall, Little-Rock Fox, Lisbon, Newark, Sandwich, Naperville and Aurora aided in either battling the fire or provided coverage for other areas during the blaze.
