A stolen vehicle was tracked to an Aurora apartment complex and two Aurora men were arrested Wednesday, police said.
Dareon Dean, 26, 800 block of Sard Avenue, and Anthony Butler, 18, 2400 block of Marigold Court, stole a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta that had been left running and unattended around 8 a.m. in a parking lot in the 200 block of Hill Avenue, police said.
An officer searching for the vehicle located it at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Second Avenue, said Dan Ferrelli, Aurora police spokesman. Security footage from the parking lot showed Dean and Butler getting out of the vehicle, Ferrelli said.
The men were found a short time later inside an apartment at the complex and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
