Name: Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless Headphones
What they are: Luxurious and durable lightweight Bluetooth 4.0 headphones with a leather-covered stainless-steel band and soft, comfy over-ear cups. Noise cancellation is automatic when the headphones are powered on. Unlike most noise-cancellation systems, Sennheiser’s NoiseGard technology blocks out ambient noise without diminishing the music. A dual omni-directional microphone is built into the wireless headphones for great sound on phone calls. A volume control can be pressed to pause the music, switch tracks or make a call. The 600 mAh lithium battery supplies 22 hours of continuous play. A micro-USB charging cable is included. Momentum is available in black or ivory.
The good: Delivering crystal-clear audio, these phones are so light and comfortable that I can wear them for hours. The supplied cable helps me watch films on planes with great audio rather than the poor sound quality offered by cheap coach cabin headsets. Unlike most Bluetooth phones, Momentum’s microphone delivers clear, crisp audio so both callers and Siri understand me. I had given up using Siri with any Bluetooth headset until now. With Momentum, I can dictate to Siri or Google Search.
The bad: Sometimes the noise-cancellation technology makes a caller sound far away. It would be nice to have a button to deactivate NoiseGard. For $500, the suppled audio cable should include an in-line microphone for phone calls.
