Need a raise? Consider tweaking your job search to Glassdoor’s 20 jobs with the biggest pay raises in 2015.
Topping the list are business systems analysts, whose 2014 salary rose 10 percent, to $83,300 this year.
If that gig is too technical, second place on the list goes to security officers, whose pay rose 7 percent to $24,000 this year, according to Glassdoor.
Its survey identified the top 20 jobs where total pay has increased the most in 2015. These jobs are also well above the national average for salary increases, which according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics is 2.2 percent.
The list ran the gamut of industries and pay grades. Other jobs with pay raises this year of 5 percent or more include sales consultants, 7 percent to $49,008; pharmacy technicians, 6 percent to $26,000; and baristas, whose pay grew 6 percent this year to $23,600.
Personal bankers, research associates, and cooks also made the list with pay increases of 4 percent or less.
At the bottom of the list were software engineers, who are only making an average of 3 percent more than last year, for a 2015 salary of … wait for it … $105,000. How will they ever get by on that?
