Riverside police said Angel Calleros, of Burbank, didn’t have his driver’s license with him when he was pulled over after a mile-long pursuit Saturday.

But Calleros, 22, did produce a ticket indicating he had been stopped two weeks earlier in a DUI case by the same officer who arrested him Saturday, police said.

Calleros again was charged with DUI Saturday after failing all six indicators in a field sobriety test, according to a news release from the Riverside Police Department.

Police said the officer was stopped for a red light at the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Quincy Street when Calleros, of the 7700 block of South Austin Avenue, pulled up and nearly hit the police car before speeding away.

While following Calleros, the officer reportedly observed the vehicle “weaving in and out of traffic in a reckless manner” and also clocked it “going 50 miles an hour in a 30 miles-an-hour zone,” according to the release. The vehicle was stopped at 26th Street and Harlem.

Calleros also was charged with speeding and two counts of improper lane use, police said.

Police said the Sept. 5 traffic stop, also on Harlem, occurred after Calleros crossed the center-lane marker and was clocked speeding at 48 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Calleros declined all field sobriety tests in that arrest, but officers recovered open bottles of whiskey and tequila in the vehicle, police said.

Calleros is due in court Nov. 6 on charges from both arrests.
