A Gary man is facing six drug-related counts that date back to 2013, according to a federal indictment unsealed Tuesday.
Waldo Bryant, 60, was originally charged in December in the U.S. District Court in Hammond, but it was kept under seal until he was arrested Tuesday.
The indictment charges him with three counts of selling cocaine, two counts of selling the anxiety drug alprozolam and one count of selling the painkiller narcotic hydrocodone. The offenses are said to have occurred from April to June 2013.
According to court records, Bryant made his initial appearance Tuesday and was ordered held without bond pending an arraignment and detention hearing set for Friday. An attorney for Bryant could not be reached for comment.
