Ogilvy Public Relations, a global, communications leader operating in more than 85 offices across six continents, has announced the addition of Michele Anderson, Managing Director of the Ogilvy Public Relations Chicago office, to its recently expanded global executive committee.
The committee, which now includes 13 OPR executives from a diverse set of locations all over the world, has been put in place to oversee the long-term strategic direction of the firm. This includes a new five-year plan that will be presented to the entire agency early next year.

Stuart Smith, Global CEO, announced the changes saying: “We have big, bold ambitions and I felt we needed broader, more diverse representation in the active management of Ogilvy PR to accelerate our plans. This is right for our people, right for our clients and right for the business.”
As Managing Director, Anderson is responsible for Chicago’s strategic direction and growth, overseeing client accounts, financial performance, business development, talent and office operations. Since her start in April of 2014, she has led the rapid expansion of the Chicago office by strengthening talent within the agency and focusing staff energy on account development and key new business wins.
Anderson began her public relations career in South Africa, where she built a market-leading and internationally awarded agency. The agency was the top-ranked agency in the country for almost a decade, servicing most global clients entering the African market. She moved to America four years ago, joining a large multinational PR agency, driving the corporate practice and business development and ultimately leading their Atlanta office.
