Bill Murray will add a chapter to his “Cinderella story” Wednesday when he tees it up with his five brothers at the BMW Championship Pro-Am at Conway Farms. That evening, all six will be inducted into the Caddie Hall of Fame at a private dinner.

The Murray brothers looped at Indian Hill Club in Winnetka, and their experiences inspired the 1980 iconic hit “Caddyshack.”

Bill Murray’s portrayal of Bushwood Country Club greenskeeper Carl Spackler helped immortalize the film, which older brother Brian Doyle-Murray co-wrote. Doyle-Murray also played caddie master Lou Loomis in the movie.

Brian based a key plot element of “Caddyshack” on the eldest Murray brother Ed’s pursuit of a caddie scholarship. Ed attended Northwestern in 1963 on an Evans Scholarship.

Also scheduled to play in the Gardner Heidrick Pro-Am are Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg and Bears great Brian Urlacher.
