Pando, a San Francisco-based startup news site, is bringing its annual Pandoland conference to Chicago in 2016, the company said in a post on Wednesday.

“In an upcoming post we’ll explain a lot more about why we’re bringing the event to Chicago,” founder and editor-in-chief Sarah Lacy and editorial director Paul Carr wrote. “But anyone who is a student of Silicon Valley history knows the role the city has played in establishing the very foundations of the Internet as we know it today.”

“Extreme early bird” tickets for $399 are available for the June 13-14 event. Regular-priced tickets will cost nearly twice that, Pando said.

Pandoland has announced three speakers: author and poet Margaret Atwood; former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo; and PayPal co-founder and former CTO Max Levchin.

Pando will announce dozens more speakers in the coming months, the post said.
