A woman was sexually assaulted while jogging on a trail near Joliet, according to police.
The assault happened at 10:30 a.m. Sunday along the Illinois & Michigan Canal Bike Path near Larkin Avenue and south of I-80 between Joliet and Rockdale, according to Illinois State Police.
The attacker was described as a man in his late 20s or early 30s, according to police. He was between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, had black hair, spoke with a heavy accent and was wearing dark sweatpants, a white T-shirt, and a long-sleeve orange shirt.
Police said the victim was meeting with a sketch artist Tuesday.
