Highland Police believe the same individual is responsible for two graffiti incidents on school and park buildings in the last eight weeks.
The suspect is believed to be a white male, in his late teens with a thin build and about 6 feet tall with dark hair and sideburns.
The most recent incident occurred during the early hours of Aug. 11, when the individual painted quotes attributed to serial killer Ted Bundy and school administrators onto the walls of Highland High School.
The police believe this is the same individual who was seen during the early morning hours of July 15, by surveillance cameras, as he spray-painted the word “ADONIS” on the outside walls of Highland High School, Southridge Elementary School and locations in Sheppard Park.
The graffiti was removed immediately following each incident, said Detective Commander Ralph Potesta. “We have a policy where we get (graffiti) down right away.”

The graffiti was removed quickly because the vandals want people see their work, said Highland School Superintendent Brian Smith.
“This one last week, was the day school started (Aug. 11),” he said. “Our custodian saw it early in the morning, and was able to remove it. Nobody got to see it their work because we took it off right away. We are hoping someone will recognize (the person in the surveillance picture).”
Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspect can contact the Highland Police Department and/or Potesta at 219-838-3184.
