A 30-year-old Manhattan man accused of having sex with a 16-year-old Mokena girl he met on the Internet was being held in the Will County Jail on $50,000 bail Monday after being charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation, records show.
Ryan C. Benck, of the 24600 block of U.S. 52, also is charged with exploitation/exposed organs and solicitation to meet a child, both misdemeanors, according to Will County Court records.

The Mokena Police Department was alerted about the alleged crimes by the teen’s parents after Benck had sex with the girl in their home, Mokena Police Chief Steve Vaccaro said.
“He met her on some Internet site,” Vaccaro said.
The aggravated criminal sexual abuse and exploitation charges stem from a July 24 incident, and the indecent solicitation and solicitation charges stem from an Aug. 2 incident, court records show.
Benck faces 3 to 7 years in prison on the criminal sexual abuse charge and 2 to 5 years on the indecent solicitation charge if convicted, according to state law.
