No one was injured in an accident involving a car and semi truck Monday afternoon on the 7300 block of North Avenue, police say.
Elmwood Park police and the fire department responded to the call in the area around 1 p.m. Aug. 10. Police Chief Frank Fagiano said the car and the truck were both traveling westbound on North Avenue when the accident occurred.
It appeared that the car received the most damage due to the accident and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the vehicle walked away unharmed from the accident, refusing treatment from paramedics, but did say “I’m shaken up.”
Fagiano said Monday they didn’t have a clear picture yet of how the accident occurred and who was at fault.
“Right now, it’s still under investigation because we might have camera footage of that area that we haven’t seen yet that might pick [the accident] up,” he said. “Thankfully no one was hurt.”
