A Park City man was arrested for possession of child pornography Friday, following an investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Cybercrimes Unit, along with the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Cybercrimes Unit, according to a police statement.

The investigation of suspect child pornography resulted in a search warrant which was executed at a residence in the 3400 block of Mary Avenue in Park.

Raul Guzman-Guzman, 23, was arrested and evidence was seized from his residence which included multiple electronic devices capable of storing electronic media. A forensic examination of the media devices revealed an extensive amount of videos identified as child pornography, which involved children under the age of 13, said authorities.

Guzman-Guzman was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, each a Class 2 felony. Each count carries a possible prison term of 3 to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Based on the extensive amount of child pornography located on the seized electronic media, further investigation will be conducted to determine if additional charges will be sought, officials said.

Guzman-Guzman is being held in the Lake County Jail on a $100,000 bond with his next court date scheduled for Aug. 27.
