Lincoln Park spot named best romantic restaurant in U.S.

Is there really anything more romantic than dunking chunks of lobster, aged beef tenderloin, jumbo shrimp and plump scallops in melted cheese? Apparently not. Geja’s Cafe in Lincoln Park was crowned the No. 1 best romantic restaurant in the country by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice.

Twenty finalists were selected by a team of food and romance experts, and the vote was turned over to readers. Geja’s Cafe beat out Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Las Vegas, Il Cielo in Beverly Hills and The River Cafe in New York.

According to a press release, the fondue spot has seen 16,254 engagements and served 312 tons of fondue and 933,100 bottles of wine. Cheese and wine: the real secret to a good relationship.
