The Indiana State women’s soccer team, which features Loyola graduate Brittany San Roman in goal, will play Wisconsin-Milwaukee in a preseason exhibition game at Loyola’s Munz Campus in Glenview at noon on Saturday, Aug. 15.
San Roman, a Glenview resident, is entering her junior season. As a sophomore she recorded four shutouts and made 117 saves, which ranked fourth for a single season in program history.
Milwaukee has a pair of local players on its roster: seniors Kelsey Holbert and Sky Perna. Holbert is a midfielder from Western Springs who attended Lyons and Perna is a defender from Deerfield. Holbert was named to the All-Horizon League First Team in 2012 and 2013, but redshirted last season because of an injury. Perna played in four games in 2014.
