Twitter dashboard TweetDeck was down for many users on Thursday morning, prompting half-joking despair from social media managers around the globe, and Instagram also experienced a problem with users attempting to log in.
The TweetDeck application — used to manage multiple accounts, schedule Tweets in advance and organize timelines into columns — was not loading Tweets for some users at 11:30 a.m. after a brief period of functioning normally again.
“Some TweetDeck users may be experiencing issues Tweeting and loading Tweets. We’re currently working on a fix,” the dashboard’s account posted on Twitter at 10:18 a.m.
A spokeswoman from Twitter, which owns TweetDeck, would not give additional details.
Instagram, meanwhile, posted at 12:35 p.m.: “We’re currently experiencing an issue that may have caused some users to have trouble logging in. We’re working hard to fix it.”
Users responded to the TweetDeck outage on Twitter:
Didn't realize Tweetdeck was hosted on PSN's servers

Using regular Twitter because Tweetdeck is down. I might as well be using two cans and a piece of string.
