Antioch

Bible school: Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and School is offering a Vacation Bible School four Friday evenings, July 24, 31, Aug. 7 and 14, 24300 Grass Lake Road. Recognizing the family challenge of balancing the many competing activities of the Antioch community, the intention is that moms and dads can leave the kids with us to go have dinner, get some shopping done, or enjoy a walk and conversation. Come for all four nights, or just those Fridays that work into the family schedule. Summer Night Out is free of cost to all participants. The sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include ice cream, crafts, music, snacks, Bible lessons and activities for children from 3 years old through fourth grade. The theme is “Gone Fishin'” which is built around Matthew 4:10. Kids love to go fishing, and each Friday the lessons will teach them to fish for the important things in life. For registration or more information, call 847-395-1660.
