Former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., a Democrat from Chicago’s South Side, was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2013 after using about $750,000 in campaign cash on luxury goods, household items, vacations, celebrity memorabilia and other items.

His wife, former Ald. Sandi Jackson (7th), was also found guilty of tax fraud and sentenced to 12 months in prison.
