A lot of people on Twitter following the Stanley Cup’s ventures around town also have been wondering about Teuvo Teravainen’s experience partying with the team.
The rookie is the only member of the team younger than legal drinking age, just like Brandon Saad was when the team won the final in 2013 — his 21st birthday came after winning the Cup.
Captain Jonathan Toews said this is a team that helps one another on and off the ice. So the question was asked, how do you help 20-year-old Teravainen when going to the bars?
“That’s an interesting question,” Toews said. “You can put beer (in the Cup), you can put champagne in there. But you also can put Coca-Cola or Gatorade or whatever. I’m not trying to plug anything. Fruit juice, whatever he likes to drink, you can fill that in there. We’re keeping a good eye on him.”
