Police said the 43-year-old delivery driver had just dropped off a pizza at an apartment in the 400 block of Sherman Street around 6:45 p.m. when the robbery occurred.
According to Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli, as the man walked back to his car he was approached by a group of men who demanded his money.
Ferrelli said the group of men began to punch and kick the delivery driver and then stole the man’s wallet and ran away. The wallet contained around $50, police said.
The driver was treated on the scene for cuts and bruises but was not seriously injured. Ferrelli said he was unable to provide details about the suspects.
