The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago announced its 2015-16 season of local, national and international work on Tuesday.

First is Stephen Petronio Company (Oct. 1-3) performing a three-part program including works from Trisha Brown, Merce Cunningham and Petronio.

Then, Natya Dance Theatre will perform a world premiere called “Varna — Colors of White” (Oct 22-24), an exploration of universal emotions conceived by Hema Rajagopalan.

Camille A. Brown & Dancers will next perform “BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play” (Nov. 5-7) about black women finding an identity in urban America.

In the winter, Giordano Dance Chicago (Feb. 4-6) will offer a program choreographed by Roni Koresh and Ray Mercer.

Urban Bush Women (Feb. 18-20) will then perform a suite of works inspired by the life of jazz musician John Coltrane called “Walking with ‘Trane.”

Joe Good Performance Group brings “Hush” to the Dance Center in March (10-12).

And the season ends on a dance-theater duet called “Flash” (March 31-April 2), choreographed and performed by Rennie Harris and Michael Sakamoto.
