Oswego Fire Protection District officials said the call came in at 7:59 a.m. after a fire alarm was activated at the school.
By the time fire crews arrived, school maintenance workers had the sprinklers and the situation under control. There was no fire actually started, but officials said the sprinklers apparently were faulty and turned on anyway.
Fire crews reset the school’s fire alarms and cleared the scene. Classes resumed shortly afterward.
