player ready...Fresh from Broadway, Tim Kazurinsky will lead the cast of Bruce Graham’s new play “Funnyman,” alongside George Wendt at Northlight Theatre, a spokeswoman for the theater said on Tuesday.
Kazurinsky is currently playing an angel in David Javerbaum’s new Broadway comedy “An Act of God,” which also stars Jim Parsons from “The Big Bang Theory.” That limited run is currently scheduled to close in New York on August 2.
In “Funnyman,” Kazurinsky and Wendt will be joined by actors Amanda Drinkall, Steve Haggard and Rob Lindley. The casting of one more role will be announced later.
BJ Jones directs the production, which begins performances on Sept. 11 and continues through Oct. 18.
Northlight Theatre is located at 9501 Skokie Blvd. in Skokie.
