A Northwestern University housing employee has been charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly threatened another employee with a knife, officials said.
Maurice Henry, 45, was in Sargent Hall on the Evanston campus when he allegedly refused to open a locked door to allow in a worker from Sodexo, which provides dining hall services at NU, officials said.
When the other employee finally entered the building, he confronted Henry and demanded to know why Henry would not open the door for him, officials said. They said an argument ensued, and Henry threatened the other employee with a knife.
Officials said there were no injuries but declined to say if Henry is still employed at the university. Henry is scheduled for a June 8 hearing at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.
