A multimedia art exhibit called Bits, Pieces and Oddities — Art of the Unexpected will be at the Southern Shore Art Association Gallery in Michigan City to May 31.
All artwork that on display will be from Southern Shore Art Association members and other selected regional artists.
“There is a little bit of everything. Acrylic abstractions, oil paintings, assemblages, quilting, photography, and as you walk through it is tied together by color,” said artist and exhibition chair Kei Constantinov.
“Our community is one that’s been in a hibernated state for years. It’s a place that’s waking up and turning into more of an art scene,” said Constantinov, “I hope that our show entice people to think about taking an art class, and that it can welcome some people to a medium they weren’t familiar with previously. “
“I always show in these and I’m excited to show in this one,” said Constantinov. It’s not just being a featured artist that makes Constantinov excited for Bits, Pieces and Oddities — Art of the Unexpected. “There are new artists that I’ve never met before. I’m excited to meet new art comrades as well,” said Constantinov.
The show will continue at the Southern Shore Art Association Gallery through May 31. Gallery hours are 12-5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
