Good fun was had, and good food eaten at Family Farmed’s 11th annual Good Food Festival & Conference at the UIC Forum in Chicago. Some 65 local vendors offered tastes of gourmet victuals and libations to 600 attendees at the fest’s signature ‘Localicous’ party. The annual three-day even, held March 19-21, attracted more than 5,000 visitors, including Gov. Bruce Rauner and Sen. Dick Durbin. The event promotes local, sustainable, responsibly-produced food and products, bringing together all the major food groups — people who produce the food, cook the food, serve the food and eat the food — into a common event. The festivities raised $10,000 to support local agriculture. See more at: goodfoodfestivals.com
