A masked armed man robbed a Kendall County pizza delivery driver Wednesday night near Oswego, and deputies are still on the hunt for the robber
A masked armed man robbed a Kendall County pizza delivery driver Wednesday night in an unincorporated area near Oswego.
Deputies said they are still on the hunt for the robber.
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 2400 block of Light Road around 10:18 p.m. after a 47-year-old pizza delivery driver called 911 to report that he had just been robbed.
The driver said he was approached by a man with a handgun as he walked through a courtyard to deliver food. According to Deputy Brian Harl, the robber demanded money which was handed over by the driver.
Harl said the driver was not injured during the incident. Deputies do not believe the residents who ordered the pizza had anything to do with the robbery.
“We’re fortunate that we don’t get these cases terribly often,” Harl said. “But, when we do they are obviously serious.”
The robber was described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a white mask and gloves.
