The crowded summer festival season will add a rare South Side entry Friday, when the lineup for the Mamby on the Beach festival will be announced for July 11-12 at Oakwood Beach, 4100 South Lake Shore Drive. Passion Pit and Empire of the Sun will headline.
Also among the more than 40 artists and bands scheduled to perform by local promoters React Presents are Röyksopp, Phantogram and Tanlines, plus DJ sets from LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and Cut Copy. A heavy contingent of Chicago artists will include house pioneers Farley “Jackmaster” Funk and Felix da Housecat.
