A photograph taken from surveillance video at the gas station where Donald Fuzzell was killed shows two men, both with guns, approaching his car.

It’s just their backs, mostly in silhouette, but one man hold a gun in his left hand, the other in his right. Both have the guns down at their sides as they approach the red Mitsubishi Lancer that Fuzzell was driving at 11 p.m. on April 12 when police said he stopped at the station to buy cigarettes before returning to his home in Calumet Park, Ill.

Detective Cpl. James Nielsen said the suspects were both wearing all black clothing, and emerged from the north side of the building, located at 2395 Broadway. The men walked up to Fuzzell. “They demanded items from him,” Nielsen said.

The video shows that Fuzzell stepped out of the car, then was shot. He staggered to the door of the business, collapsed and died there, police said.

The gunman ran back north, then east and disappeared.

Nielsen said the video provides no further details that would help in the identification of the killers, but hopes someone knows who the two men are, and can help him solve the case.
