An Aurora gas station was robbed by a masked man Tuesday morning, police said.
The robbery occurred around 11:25 a.m. at the Mobil Gas Station in the 800 block of West Illinois Avenue, Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli said.
The 42-year-old clerk working at the gas station told police that while he was stocking a refrigerator a man entered the store and pressed an object to his back. The suspect demanded money and led the clerk to the cash register, Ferrelli said.
When the clerk open the register, the robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash.
Ferrelli said the clerk attempted to stop the robber, and began to fight with him. The robber was able to break free from the clerk, but not before kicking the clerk in the chest, police said.

The clerk refused medical attention, Ferrelli said.
