Skokie fire personnel transported Aiden, who officials say had disabilities, to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for treatment of second-degree burns to his lower extremities. He was then transferred to Loyola University Medical Center’s burn unit in Maywood.
Aiden died at Loyola on April 20, the medical examiner’s office said. Autopsy results show that Aiden died of complications from thermal injuries from immersion in hot water. The manner of death was ruled accidental.
Ukah, who is being held on $25,000 bond, has an arraignment hearing scheduled for May 11.
