Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The playoffs are here, both the Blackhawks and Bulls are rolling, and I have only one complaint.

Scheduling.

We know this isn’t going to be easy. Especially for the Blackhawks, these games are tight and likely going into overtime.

So, may I suggest dropping the puck maybe an hour earlier?

Maybe two hours earlier. Oh, heck, make it a matinee. Three o’clock start. You can get a nice full day of fake work done.

As is, the games end too late, someone (not me of course) has to go to bed because they are (supposedly) a responsible adult and have a job to go to.

Look, we can’t have a bunch of sleep-deprived zombies trying to do their jobs. Look what happens! Rahm Emanuel’s motorcade went the wrong way down a one-way street!

We’re lucky, as a city, that someone hasn’t been hurt yet. Let’s prevent further mayhem with some sensible scheduling.

Speaking of scheduling, oh thank you, NFL. What a doozie the Bears have. And of course, the big showcase, Thanksgiving night in Green Bay!

Note to the NFL, and I’m being nice: THIS HASN”T BEEN A RIVALRY IN DECADES!

Please, please, please stop putting these games on in primetime. Nobody cares. I’m so sick of the cute Jay Cutler-Aaron Rodgers exchanges after these blowouts.

Jay: “Hey man, you have a great team, best of luck in the playoffs.”

Aaron: “Thanks. That was easy.”

As for the rest of the schedule, ouch. Packers, Cardinals and Seahawks to open the season. John Fox, I like you, but you’re already 0-3. I am so sorry.

Back to that Thanksgiving game: Word is the Packers will retire Brett Favre’s jersey that night. How fitting. Half his wins came against the Bears. Like I said. It’s not a rivalry.

On to baseball. The prospects are here! Kris Bryant is here, Addison Russell is here and Carlos Rodon is also here. Here’s the fun part for Joe Maddon: Trying to find positions for the guys who are up with the Cubs.

A fun to problem to have. So, some good news: The rooftop owners have dropped their lawsuit against the city.

As Quintus said in “Gladiator,” people should know when they’re conquered.
