No one was injured Sunday night when shots were fired in Boulder Hill, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputy Bryan Harl said residents reported hearing gunshots around 10:32 p.m. in the area of Fernwood Road. When they responded, Harl said deputies were advised that someone on Woodridge Road between Pembrooke Road and Circle Drive East had reported that a parked, unoccupied vehicle had been struck.
Harl said several shots were fired during the incident, but nothing other than the vehicle was damaged.
“This does not appear random and does appear to be gang-related,” Harl said. “The investigation continues and we ask anyone with information to call (deputies).”
Those with information can call police at 630-446-7017, or Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999.
“We’re obviously still investigating,” Harl said. “There’s not a lot to go on.”
