Over the past decade, the Illinois governor’s mansion and carriage house have been neglected. Both are in dire need of repair for the property to be functional for general use as well as hosting functions. Repairs have been divided into two phases. Phase one, which included replacement of the chiller, emergency generator and some temporary roof repairs, was completed last year. Phase two is in the process of bid approval and primarily addresses interior work.
