According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, about 40 to 60 percent of addicts active in treatment plans will relapse. David Cohen, the clinical director at Hazelden Betty Ford in Chicago, said the return to use is the end of the relapse. Here are a few behaviors Cohen said addicts display if they might be relapsing:

” Belief that meetings are no longer needed

” Isolation

” Lying and manipulation

” Self-centeredness

” Restlessness

” Discontent
