A 22-year-old Chicago man accused of fondling a female student inside an Aurora University dorm room wants his statements to police to be suppressed.
Kelly E. Moore, who is free on bond, is charged with criminal sexual abuse and unlawful restraint in connection with the August 2014 incident on the school’s campus.
Police previously said Moore attended a meet-and-greet event for students when he met the 19-year-old female and offered to walk her back to her dorm room. Once there, Moore asked to go into her room and eventually picked her up, which caused the door to close, according to police.
Police say Moore locked the door, fondled the woman and prevented her from leaving the room. Campus police notified Aurora police of the incident and Moore was arrested by Aurora officers later the same day.
