Lori Ellis, of Chicago, whose family goes to Unity Temple, said The 206 food truck’s waffles brought her out to Scoville Park, where she answered a few questions for the Oak Leaves.
Q: Occupation?
A: Teacher, first grade, in Chicago Public Schools.
Q: Favorite restaurant in the area?
A: Eyrie, and that was super good. It might be a new favorite, especially because it’s BYOB. We had lamb chops, and the couple we were with had scallops. Tried the flatbread, too.
Q: Charity of choice?
A: Weimaraner rescue. We love the breed. They’re naughty but loving.
Q: Favorite travel destination?
A: The Caribbean and Montreal. The food and beer in Montreal, and in the Caribbean, the warm water, the warm sun.
Q: Activity of choice once spring actually arrives?
A: Just get out!
