To usher in the Season 5 premiere of HBO’s “Game Of Thrones,” Frontier (1072 N. Milwaukee Ave., 773-772-4322) will host a Wild Boar Feast ($30) from 3 to 6 p.m. on April 12.
Executive chef Brian Jupiter’s menu includes wild boar served with five-cheese mac, caesar salad with polenta croutons, vegetable succotash and cornbread. Drink specials include glogg, honey mead and house wine ($5 each). The restaurant will also serve Milk of the Poppy cocktails ($10).
Though the event coincides with the evening of “Game of Thrones'” season premiere, Frontier will not broadcast the 8 p.m. episode. According to a press release, “This event is intended as a dinner to gear up for the new season as the season five premiere will not be played in Frontier due to cable restrictions.” The event will, however, include a viewing party of the final three episodes of Season 4.
