Route 66 Theatre Company announced its 2015-16 season on Friday night. All four shows are new-to-Chicago, and one is a brand new play.

First up, in the summer, is the previously announced “Goldfish” (June 11-July 12) written by John Kolvenbach and directed by Damon Kiely. The production will star Francis Guinan and Shannon Cochran, alongside Alex Stage and Tyler Meredith.

In the fall is “Cops and Friends of Cops” (Oct. 8-Nov. 8) by Ron Klier. The drama takes place in a St. Louis-area bar during a special night for off-duty police officers. It’s on this night that a citizen’s confrontation with a cop becomes increasingly hostile. Notably, the play premiered in LA in May, 2014, three months before the events in Ferguson, MO.

Then in the winter is “No Wake” (Jan. 7-Feb. 21, 2016), written by William Donnelly and directed by Kimberly Senior. In Donnelly’s play, a divorced couple is forced back into each other’s lives after a tragedy. Lia Mortensen, Raymond Fox and Stef Tovar star.

Last is “Quiver” by Jenni Lamb, which is receiving a premiere from Route 66. The drama takes place during an annual siblings’ hunting trip, when one brother’s family shows up unannounced. The production, which will be directed by Frances Limoncelli, will run in the spring.

Route 66 Theatre Company performs at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave.
