Labriola Ristorante & Cafe (535 N. Michigan Ave, 312-955-3100) will hold a Taste of Sardinia dinner ($75) at 7 p.m. April 14. Executive chef John Caputo and Fabio Pibiri of Sardinian goods importer Buon Gusto host the event and will educate guests on the island’s cuisine, wine and liqueur.

The four-course menu begins with house made sheep milk ricotta with pickled spring ramps and seasonal vegetable bruschetta served with Jannas, DOC, Rose. The second course is Georges Bank Atlantic scallops with sea beans in a Tyrrhenian sea broth paired with Anastasia, Semidano. For the third course, slow roasted baby lamb with Swiss chard, mint and Sardinian ravioli is served with Nepente, DOC, 100-percent Cannonau. Dessert is a pine nut tart with honey di Corbezzolo and brown butter gelato paired with Judu, Mirto liqueur.
