Aurora police are continuing to investigate a Wednesday morning shooting that occurred during a fight between a group of approximately 15 men.
Two suspects were taken into custody following the shooting but released without charges after a search turned up no weapons inside an apartment they went to after the shots were fired.
Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli said officers responded to the 1300 block of South Glen Circle around 11:25 a.m. after residents in the area heard gun shots.

Witnesses told police that approximately 15 men were gathered in a parking lot and that several of them were fighting.
Ferrelli said that one man allegedly took out a gun and fired it into the air. A gold SUV, possibly a Pacifica, began to drive toward the man with the gun, who then allegedly fired several shots toward the SUV.
According to Ferrelli, the shooter and another man ran into a nearby apartment. The SUV drove away from the scene, but struck a tree and some lawn ornaments, Ferrelli said. It was last seen driving northbound on North Glen Circle.
Police attempted to make contact with the 21-year-old and 23-year-old men who fled into the apartment. At 2:15 p.m., the men surrendered to police and were taken into custody.
Investigators were able to secure a search warrant for the apartment and located no weapons, Ferrelli said. Both men were released without charges.
When officers investigated the scene they found no evidence of a shooting, Ferrelli said. Police, though, said they had enough witnesses come forward to confirm the shooting took place.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information should call investigators at 630-256-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.
