HBO’s highly anticipated streaming service will debut April 12, according to a report from International Business Times.
The network hopes to launch the standalone service, to be called HBO Now, in April to coincide with the fifth season premiere of “Game of Thrones.”
Customers can subscribe directly to HBO Now—for $15 a month according to the International Business Times—without subscribing to HBO through a cable or satellite distributor. The network’s current streaming service, HBO Go, is for HBO subscribers only.
Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime charge significantly less for their streaming services.

The report also claims that HBO is working with Apple to make Apple TV a launch partner for HBO Now, and that the network will rely on other distribution partners such as Roku, Xbox, PlayStation and Amazon.
HBO has not made an official announcement about the name or launch date, but told Quartz in a statement when asked about the International Business Times report, “We know there’s great anticipation around our standalone streaming service. And when we have details to share, we will do so.”
