After almost crashing his vehicle head-on into a Montgomery police squad car, an Aurora man was charged with drunken driving.
Police said Charles Brackenridge, 33, 600 block of North River Street, Aurora, was driving near Route 25 and Keck Avenue in Montgomery around 3:45 p.m Feb. 24 when his vehicle crossed the center line and went into oncoming traffic.
Brackenridge’s vehicle almost struck a squad car before it continued southbound on Route 25, police said.
Police said Brackenridge eventually drove his vehicle off the road and crashed it into a utility pole. He was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody.
In addition to drunken driving, Brackenridge was charged with not having a license.
