Round Lake Beach grand opening event
The entire community is invited to the grand opening of the Harvest Bible Chapel Kids Ministry space March 1. The long-awaited expansion to the children’s space is a result of the new addition to the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center, 2007 Civic Center Way, which Harvest uses as its facility for worship each week. The addition doubled the designated children’s space and includes family check-ins and kids-only bathrooms. The grand opening will feature special programming, gifts for every child, a prize drawing for families, refreshments for all, and an informal tour of the expansion. Harvest, which held a public launch service on Sept. 28, has continued to be a weekly installment in the community. This is the first significant facility expansion to the Cultural & Civic Center since the Center first opened in 2007. Harvest made a significant donation to the project as a catalyst to starting the $300,000 venture. The major components of the expansion are expected to be completed by summer 2015. The March 1 event will be part of Harvest’s weekly worship service, which takes place every Sunday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. No reservations are required to attend. Details, (815) 272-6609.
