Encompass will bow out as title sponsor of Chicago’s Champions Tour event after 2015, but tour officials are confident the tournament will survive under new sponsorship.
“Encompass has been a tremendous title sponsor and proven that the Champions Tour is a viable product for the Chicago market,” said Greg McLaughlin (CQ), president of the Champions Tour, which feature many of the game’s top 50-and-over players. “We are in discussions now with other potential title sponsors.”
Tom Lehman is defending champion at this year’s Encompass Championship, scheduled for July 10-12 at North Shore Country Club in Glenview.
