Stars aligned for 428 guests of the McGaw YMCA’s annual gala at the Evanston Y on January 24. The gala theme, “Fly me to the moon: Where no star is out of reach,” reflected YMCA supporters’ passion for youth development and encouragment to “reach for the stars.”
Dignitaries on hand included state Sen. Daniel Biss (D-9), state Rep. Robyn Gabel (D-18) and Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl. The event honored the Lewis-Sebring Family Foundation and Lucile Krasnow with Leadership Awards for their philanthropy, community service and youth advocacy. The event raised $180,169 for the Evanston McGaw YMCA. See more at mcgawymca.org.
