GARY—Less than 15 minutes after police sent Antoine Lyons away from outside his ex-girlfriend’s apartment building, he was back, and so were they, police said.
The 25-year-old woman, who lives in the 1600 block of W. 5th Avenue, called the first time at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday and said Lyons, 29, was tossing rocks at her first-floor apartment window. She said he was wearing a red sweatshirt and tan pants, court records state.
Cpl. Damon Bradshaw and Patrolman Phillip Komisarcik told Lyons he had to leave and would be arrested if he returned.
At 7 a.m., Bradshaw and Komisarcik were back, and found Lyons there again, the arrest report states.
Lyons pleaded not guilty to criminal trespass in Gary City Court later Wednesday and told Judge Deidre Monroe that he lives there.

“But it’s not your place. If a woman tells you to leave, why don’t you do that?” Monroe asked. Lyons repeated that he was living there and police wouldn’t listen to him.
Monroe noted Lyons has numerous previous arrest for criminal trespass in public housing.
The judge ordered him to be drug tested and returned to court later.
