Stewart vs. The Sandwich

Jon Stewart may be taking himself out of “The Daily Show,” but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to live the fast-food life. His response on his show Wednesday to a tweet from Arby’s telling him to reach out about a new career: “To work there would I have to handle, serve, touch eat or even look at what you so generously describe as food? That’s right, Arby’s, this [bleeping] thing ain’t over. I do not accept your peace offering. We shall always be enemies! For while you are a worthy adversary, you shall be vanquished.” We’re glad he’s on the same page about their gross meat folds.

THE QUOTE

“As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family. If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, ‘Oh, Kim goes to Kendall’s first fashion show!'”

—Kendall Jenner, to Allure magazine, on why she didn’t want her family to attend her fashion shows. In other words, “Look at me, look at meeeee.”

What a slimeball

Nick Jonas is neither too young to grab his crotch for Calvin Klein underwear ads, nor too old to host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, it would seem. He announced the latter gig, going down March 28, on Instagram with a slime-heavy video. It’s OK though, kids don’t go on the Internet, so there’s no way they’ll find any of his questionable pics.

Ambassador of sound

Dave Grohl wants you to buy more vinyl. The Foo Fighters frontman has been named the official ambassador of 2015 Record Store Day, the AV Club reports. In addition to being all gung-ho about sending people to the store April 18, he’ll also release a four-track EP of unreleased Foo Fighters material, titled “Songs From The Laundry Room.” Our favorite laundry song is “Workin’ at the Car Wash,” but we can add a newbie to the rotation.

That’s how many years it’s been since Hugh Grant has seen “Love Actually,” he told reporters at a screening of his latest movie, “The Rewrite,” on Tuesday. No, we couldn’t tell you how it’s humanly possible to go that long without watching “Love Actually” either. We suspect his secret rivalry with Colin Firth has something to do with it.

Rodent rage

That’s our alternate title for the upcoming “Alvin and the Chipmunks” CGI/live action flick that you’ll never see, but that also already has the greatest title ever. Tony Hale, formerly lauded for his work on “Arrested Development,” has signed on to star in “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip,” variety.com reports. Road. Chip. The movie is out Dec. 23, which leads us to believe they’ve slapped it together at the last minute.
